SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement an effective digital communications plan to continually attract talented staff with the right skills and competencies by showcasing the value of our products and our corporate culture.

  • Lead the creation of an annual corporate communications plan to improve our corporate profile and brand perception amongst key external stakeholders and their respective organizations.

  • Support the GM in implementing a progressive performance driven culture/system that encourages ownership, accountability and excellence in every role through reinforcing communications that generate an internal conversation and trust.

  • Working with the marketing and medical team to critically evaluate quality and value of current patient-oriented marketing messages, identify gaps and help reshape the marketing messages and communications to sharpen the individual brand value proposition.

  • Train and develop commercial team members on best communication practices during face-to-face interactions, phone conversations and digital communications, like email and social media.

  • Develop a strategy for the role of technology and digital initiatives that improve customer awareness of Octapharma’s Canadian and global activities in close coordination with digital and traditional marketing teams.

  • Coordinate Canadian communication plans with global plans to ensure alignment and sharing of resources on common projects

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • B.Sc. (Life Sciences)

  • MBA from a top tier Canadian or international business school

  • 1-2 years of experience in leading communications or change management projects

  • Ability to solve business problems using deductive, inductive, and quantitative reasoning.

  • Experience in creating digital content and managing communications campaigns

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, creative layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.

  • Experience in working with board level management

  • French language skills are a bonus
